The best part of this album is the raw production. The music is pretty much okay death/thrash metal with a clear retro feel. The songs mostly follow the same structure, which is annoying as hell. By the third track, you are fuming because of the silly shouted/delayed choruses.
What really takes the cake, though, are the lyrics. They sound like Mad Libs, where the only words allowed were "death", "dead", "die", "kill" and "blood". It wouldn't have been such a problem if the lyrics weren't clearly audible.
My advice is that you read the song titles (come on! Tomb of Corpses? Wow! Well that's a surprise! I was expecting to find stuffed toys and a rainbow made of candy cane and rainbows in a tomb). If they don't make you cringe and/or laugh hysterically, you'll like this, 'cause the instrumentation is loads of fun, if not anything else.
