Acid Storm - Biotronic Genesis
(24 Dec 2010)
"Inter-Galak cheives, two houndred million years agough, an archificial plenet dreefts toward the Milku Way. On eats black, airly surfayce, survivals of an ancient waur, awakhe from the cryogenic sleep. Thausands of red oeyghes break the doarkness, AND contemplayte the peak cosmic island. Far away. And dey wait. Den, * voice breaks* when da time came, dey, whiff the logical minds peraleye-sed by a pasitronic leuquemia, technalogical dzeez, da metal bee sleft."
That's what you hear the woman say in the intro, leading you to believe that this is gonna be crap. After this turd of an intro, you're presented with over a half-hour of incredible thrash with a tinge of prog.
"Metal Beasts" starts off the actual album on a very high note and, overall, it stays that way. There are a couple of songs that aren't all that great, but even they are quite enjoyable. The production is pretty low budget, but it gives the album just the right feel, and the playing is very good, specially the bass. It's sad to know this album is for the most part forgotten, since it's truly excellent.
