Sadist - Tribe

(20 Aug. 2010)

This is exactly what I was looking for in a progressive death metal album for a long time: unusual yet coherent song structures, a prevalent use of keyboards, interesting melodies and interesting riffs. The vocals could have been better, but they don't really make the music suffer. Overall a mostly forgotten masterpiece.

By the way, it's pretty funny to know that a band that thought that putting an evil snowman on the cover of an album was a good idea would also manage to make a cover this good. It's incredibly simple, but works perfectly.

Standout tracks:

India
Tribe
The Ninth Wave
The Reign Of Asmat
