This is the sound of the entire world telling you how much of a worthless piece of flesh you are, just breathing away and using up precious resources. For practically two hours. The music is crushing and very atmospheric, and the production makes it all so much better, being incredibly muddy. To listen to The Pernicious Enigma is to listen to what a nightmare would sound like. Perfect.
Sadly, the cover is ridiculously cheerful for the music within it, but, then again, a picture of jews rotting in the Sun during the WWII would have been too cheerful as well.
