Scott Walker - Tilt

(19 Dec 2010)

I was introduced to Scott Walker through The Drift. It was an interesting album, so I decided to buy TILT when I found it at the store. If The Drift were a storm, then TILT is the clouds forming, the tension growing during the calm, when you know that the storm is inevitable. I must say that this release is a far more intense listen than what was to come. It's like as if though Scott were already insane, but in denial, so he tries his best to make "normal" music, so you have an album that alternates between crazy sections and sanity. The result is far more haunting and emotional than the complete loss of what is normal.

Standout tracks:

Farmer In The City
Bouncer See Bouncer...
Bolivia '95
Patriot (A Single)
